Veronica Thao
Veronica Thao (she/her) grew her deep appreciation of the Appalachian Mountains after her 2023 thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail, walking the 2198.4 miles from Georgia to Maine in 168 days with her partner and their wonderfully sweet NC native plott hound, Gravy. With a love for adventure, nature, yoga, and cooking plant-based foods, Veronica, originally from California, has since called Western North Carolina home.
Having always valued community and service, and coming from a background in social justice and fun-centered educational programs and volunteer coordination in horticulture, farm and garden nonprofit organizations, Veronica is excited to focus more on supporting grassroots movements, especially with GCF, and thankful to contribute to the thriving community of Garren Creek and environs. In community and with gratitude.
